Abyaneh village, located in Natanz County of Isfahan Province, is one of Iran’s most prominent rural tourism destinations with a history of nearly 1,500 years. The village attracts a large number of visitors annually, creating close interactions between tourists and local residents. This study aims to analyze the status of livelihood capitals of rural households in Abyaneh as a tourism-targeted village. The research adopts a descriptive–analytical and applied approach, using both documentary studies and field surveys through questionnaires. The statistical population consists of household heads in Abyaneh, with 332 households selected as the sample. Data were analyzed using Kolmogorov–Smirnov, Pearson correlation, t-tests, and ANOVA. Findings reveal significant positive correlations between all livelihood capitals (social, human, financial, natural, and physical) and age, while education shows a significant negative relationship with livelihood capitals. No significant relationship was found with gender. In terms of priority, financial capital ranked highest, followed by social, human, natural, and physical capital. Moreover, strong positive correlations were observed among the different types of livelihood capitals. These results highlight the importance of tourism in shaping household livelihood structures and provide insights for sustainable rural development strategies in tourism destinations.
