In recent years, economic developments have had an impact on the process of migration from cities to villages in Iran, such that the increase in the price of residential properties, the increase in rents, and investment in rural production and the establishment of quick-return economic workshops are among the most important economic factors that have paved the way for migration from cities to villages. The aim of this study is to examine the economic consequences of migration to villages in Rudbar County, which was conducted using a descriptive and analytical method. The statistical population is all immigrants in Rudbar County and the sample population is 378 immigrants. The economic power of villages and the economic developments of cities are two important factors in migration in the study area. The cheapness of land, housing, and rent in villages, the provision of facilities for building durable housing, and the availability of raw materials needed to start small and quick-return economic enterprises are among the factors that have been effective in motivating migration from cities to villages in Rudbar County. The results show that the increase in the price of residential properties in the city was the most important economic development of the city and was influential in migration from the city to the countryside and the cheapness of housing land and rent in the countryside was the most important factor in the economic power of the village and was influential in migration from the city to the countryside. Finally, it was determined that the price of land, housing and rent, and then receiving facilities for the construction of durable housing and finally income are the most important economic consequences of migration to the countryside in the study area.
