Abstract
The weakening of traditional economic activities in rural areas, especially the economy based on natural resources such as agriculture, mining, etc., over the past few decades has made it more necessary to seek new solutions to strengthen the economic foundations and diversify socio-economic activities in rural areas.Tourism Entrepreneurship as a Key Factor in the Economic and Social Development of Rural Areas A Study on the Reconstruction of Rural SpacesTourism entrepreneurship, as one of the main pillars of economic and social development in rural areas, plays a significant role in the reconstruction and improvement of rural spaces. This study aims to analyze the affecting tourism entrepreneurship and the reconstruction of rural spaces. The research is applied in its objectives and descriptive-analytical in terms of its nature and methodology. Data were collected through both library and field studies. The spatial scope of the study includes 11 tourist-oriented villages in Avaj County. The statistical population consists of 2,546 rural households residing in these villages, with a sample of 250 households selected based on the adjusted Cochran formula. The main research instrument was a questionnaire, whose validity was tested using Cronbach's alpha (α = 0.81). Data analysis was conducted using one-sample t-tests, Friedman tests, and path analysis. The results of the study indicate that tourism entrepreneurship significantly influences the physical, socio-cultural, environmental, and economic dimensions. The most important factors affecting the physical dimension include the use of new architectural styles and technologies in housing, as well as increased competition for the ownership of pristine and scenic lands in the foothills and riverbanks. Furthermore, the results of path analysis reveal that the socio-cultural index has the highest impact on tourism entrepreneurship, with a standardized beta coefficient of (0.293)
